"I'm hoping you have researched enough about my mother and the things she likes,'' Enrique speaks, taking the opportunity when his approaching mother was distracted by a woman who greeted her and stopped her for chit chat. She smiles politely as she speaks, but her attention was fixed on the conversation we pretended to have with Enrique. To be honest, this was much easier than I expected. Even though I was now 'dating' a billionaire, I would not allow Enrique to pay for my education. I wanted to figure it out. Letting him pay for this was equal to giving him too much power. Allowing him to feel like he owned me in every aspect.
