The day had been a whirlwind of events, emotions, and unexpected encounters. After searching the castle for the boys, I finally found everyone gathered in the private dining room on the Alpha's floor, enjoying an assortment of snacks and chatting animatedly. The tension from the earlier confrontation with Ethan and Stephanie was still fresh in my mind, but seeing Caspian and Dakari's carefree laughter brought a sense of normalcy back to my day.

Khali joined us briefly, her presence calming and reassuring. She shared a few moments with us, her hand brushing mine as she whispered that she had something planned for later. Before I could press her for details, she winked at me and took the boys out of the room, leaving me with a mixture of curiosity and excitement.
