Bab 195: Illusion

"Wait," Christoff walked towards the tied-up 'Ava'. "You can't take her."

Lord Welton arched an eyebrow. Then he raised his hand, and the music stopped playing, the chatter turned into a deafening silence.

Lord Welton's face immediately turned serious. "What do you mean, other- worlder?"

"That woman… is working with us."

"Hah?" Lord Welton looked at Christoff in disbelief. "It looked like the other- worlder also coveted our guest."

"I am not lying. We came here together. We got separated." Christoff had a look of panic in his eyes. He looked at Damon and Alex, not far away from him. "Aren't you going to say anything?"

"Was he saying the truth, Lord Damon?" Lord Welton turned his attention towards Damon. Just like Lord Welton, Damon was sitting in one of the chairs on the stage. He was still wearing the same outfit that he wore when he arrived in this world.

"He was," Damon responded.

"But I have taken a liking to this woman."
