"What are you doing? Help her?!" I shouted as soon as I found my voice.

Earlier, when she was falling down the stairs, I placed my leg in between the railing and laid on the bottom so that I could stop her from taking the final blow. And I had indeed caught her right in time.

I am not sure if it helped or if it did not. All I knew was that we still needed to have her checked.

"Augustus, pick her up and place her on a bed. Charles, call the doctor and see if he will be here soon or not. Jake, call a few maids who might have any experience in childbirth," I said, and all of them nodded at me.

I was about to turn around and help Augustus pick Scarlett as she whimpered in pain when the doctor rushed inside the palace, making me sigh.
