Bab 29: Lost control.

Since the fight was sudden and there were no prior preparations, the guards quickly formed a circle around Hazel and her opponent who were circling each other, waiting for the other to strike first.

Someone in the crowd had thoughtfully brought a seat for Leo but he politely declined, choosing to also stand. Even though he refused to acknowledge it, he was quite eager to see how Hazel fought.

They both had their daggers in hand and Leo's eyes lingered a little too long on Hazel's antique dagger, the little action not going unnoticed by Hazel.

After a few minutes of circling each other, eyeing each other like predators eyeing their prey and neither of them attacking, Hazel suddenly straightened and planted her hands on her hips as she heaved a tired sigh. Simon also stopped and eyed her warily, but as soon as he straightened his back, Hazel surged forward, aiming a knife at his neck.
