Caden flipped the page over. He rustled through several papers. His dark, serious eyes locked onto Edith’s stormy blue ones.
“Have you read these?” he asked, lifting several typed papers from the Castrel Ruins file.
“I looked through them, back when we discovered the…realm connection in my father’s backyard,” Edith answered.
“These pages are various ones missing from the archive books,” Caden signaled to Miles to grab one of the books off the end of the table. Upon getting the book, Caden took a couple of loose pages from Liam Doyle’s notes, selected a few, then fit them perfectly into the book.
“My father wasn’t a thief,” Edith said hotly. “There must have been a reason he took those pages.”
“He was an author, Edith,” Lewis shrugged. “Maybe he needed some inspiration.”
