Bab 271:  The Council Convenes

The Council of the Rajni City was built like an amphitheater at the base of an oversized banyan tree. Each of its leaves was as large as an umbrella, providing the councilman protection from sun, rain and winds. 

The mana and vitae in the amphitheater were also extremely heavy and calm. As soon as Samar entered with the other Councilman, he felt his mana movement grow sluggish to the point he could no longer use any skills. This was a preventive measure to avoid any conflicts inside this Sacrosanct Council. 

"Honorary Councilmen, this way please," An attending elf guided Samar and others to their special seats at the very last row of the amphitheater. 

Usually, the Honorary Councilman were expected to remain neutral in all matters. Their seating position was a reminder of the fact that they were above the petty squabbles happening below.
