Bab 13: CHAPTER-12 MAKING FOOL OF MYSELF
AFTER TWO YEAR
Fin's progress had been astounding .He was almost at a breakthrough to the 15% mark .His skills had become much more flexible .
According to Fairy, skills had also levels .In the beginning one could only use it for rudimentary purpose but as ones brain capacity increased , he could find many changes in the skill for example he could unlock hidden abilities in the invisibility skill and make objects he touch invisible .
Fin found it exciting and continued to work harder .He exhausted all his spirit stones within a year and made Fairy stunned .Normally one couldn't take more than 1 spirit stone a day but Fin could take 2 .Fin also found it strange but he knew it was due to the crystal.
By now he was 100% sure that his progress had been quick as a result of the purple crystal.He didn't know the origin of the purple crystal but he was sure that it was not a simple crystal .If word got out that he had something like this ,he would be hunted at all cost by immortals and mortals together.
Fairy gave him spirit crystals from her own treasury .Fin noted her kindness silently in his heart .He would repay her kindness hundred time when he could .
Inside the dimensional room, he was sitting cross legged and meditating .Suddenly his body started trembling .He felt like he had suddenly discovered a part of his brain which he couldn't access before .
Finally he had his first breakthrough and reached 15% of brain's capacity. A sudden cooling sensation enveloped his entire brain which made him feel like he was on drugs .He wanted to remain in that state but gradually it dissipated.
Fin came out of the dimension and observed his normal room .He felt like he could see every tiny details in the room .He could tell the colour of mosquito eyes from so far.Not only his vision, his hearing also greatly improved.He could here people talking outside the room despite there were many walls.
He tried to feel the presence of water in his surrounding and waved his hand , to his surprise he found tiny moisture in his surrounding which was collecting to form a ball of water .He couldn't believe his eyes he poked the water bubble for a while and confirmed that it was really water .Then he tried to change the shape of the ball to an arrow ,it took him some effort ,but eventually he was able to create it .After that he tried to imagine a bow ,but arrow was dissipated .He tried again and again but he couldn't create both a arrow and bow simultaneously.
Fairy was watching all that silently on his shoulders .She was dumbfounded by his breakthrough which normally took people 3 to 4 years .She was thinking of asking him how he did it but before she could ask ,he already started creating arrows ,which further shocked her .She thought 'He could even do this just in one try !' and became speechless. She no longer compared him to normal cultivators .
Fin finally turned towards Fairy for help with a disappointed look. Fairy didn't know whether to laugh or cry .She wanted to slap him to death for his 'disappointment' look but she controlled her impulse eventually .
She simply sighed "After you practice for some time ,you will be able to do it don't worry". Fin had been giving her shock after shock ,so she had started to develop some sort of resistance.
Fin nodded happily and went to look for Eva .He didn't have any family member near him to share his happiness except Eva. Eva opened the door when she saw Fin through her window.
Eva was wearing a white top with mickey mouse cartoon and a violet midi . She had become much more beautiful after 2 years . Even though Fin saw her everyday ,he would always froze whenever she smiled at him .
Eva said "Stop acting ,tell me when are we able to visit our parents". She missed her home very much but couldn't go to visit them .
According to the rules of the Institute ,one could be able to visit their home only every 2 years .Their parents could only video call .No one knew why the institute was so cruel.
Fin told excitedly "lets go tomorrow ,pack up your things". Eva became instantly ecstatic and hugged Fin immediately .It was her way of showing happiness since she was small. They didn't had any filthy thoughts in their mind , moreover they were just 10 years old so, thoughts of adults never crossed their mind.
Fin and Eva left with Fairy and Spider king to their home .They asked their parents to send a helicopter .Their parents obviously didn't have any such thing , they borrowed one from Lisa and sent it.If a normal student in a boarding school asked his parents the same thing ,they would have laughed for his sense of humor .
Fin didn't know that it was given by Lisa and he hadn't really met her in person although he had seen her indirectly after the first test but he didn't know.
After few hours , Fin and Eva stood in front of their home and were in deep thought .They both held their hands together .Eva was literally crying .They had finally made it , to their home .
Both families lived together for the past 10 years ,so they treated others like their family . Eva hugged her parents and Fin's parents and started telling her stories in school.
Fin was just enjoying the moment without speaking much .Fairy told "You have got good parents ,you need to cherish them well".
Fin was surprised by her sudden remark and asked "Fairy what about your family ?When can I meet them ?".Fairy has done so much for him ,he wanted to personally thank them.
Fairy's face darkened all of a sudden and she flew away without answering his question. Fin had never seen her in that state before .He was not an idiot so he quickly understood something must have happened to her parents .He got up and followed her ,telling his parents that he needed some air .
He found Fairy looking at a artificial water fall in their garden .He silently went behind her and asked "Fairy think of me as your own family ,you don't have to keep your worries inside your heart all the time ,tell me if you can. Although I may not be able to change anything or help you at this moment but one day I promise I will do my best .It is the least I can do after you have done so much for me"
Fairy was moved by his words and said without turning to his side "I will tell you one day when you are able to help me ."
Fin nodded and left silently .Fairy watched his back and thought 'He has both talent and good heart .My master would have been happy if he knew he got such a guy as his successor'.
Fin and Eva spent lot of their time in home .One day they wanted to go for some shopping .Spider king suddenly became excited ,though it didn't understand human language ,it knew some words here and there after listening everyday .Fairy on the other hand didn't show any emotions as she had traveled the whole world with her master when she was little .
Eva started dragging Fin to shop after shop for buying many stuff which were mostly girlish. Although she was small ,she attracted lot of attention in the market .
Many guys started following them and started whistling at her .Fin didn't mind as long as people didn't cross the line because he thought it was natural to admire the beautiful things in the world .
When they were walking in an empty valley to cross the market ,they were surrounded by guys who aged around 18 to 20 .Fin didn't panic but Eva held his shoulder tightly and buried her face in his shirt ,clearly she was afraid. Fairy told "I won't help you ,you need to solve this on your own".She flew away and stood high above in air.
Fin also didn't want to depend on Fairy for everything and decided to solve it himself because by depending on ones own strength one can hone their skills and strength and improve thereupon .He told to Eva to close her eyes for a moment .Eva was in panic so , she complied without asking any question .
Suddenly one of the guy told "Hey beauty come here ,I won't hurt you as long as you come with me".
Another guy retorted "Don't listen to him sister ,he has dark intention ,come to this big brother ,I will safely return you to your home."
From the beginning they didn't put Fin in their eyes as they kept on fighting with each other like they had suddenly discovered a treasure on the road .
Fin talked in beast language and Spider changed its size and became large .It was still invisible for commoners .He could scare them with the Spider but he want to test his strength first .How can he let go of that wonderful opportunity. He hopped on the Spider ,which looked like he was in the air for commoners . They were stunned .
Some of the guys carried guns ,so they immediately shot bullets in panic .Fin could see every bullet coming at him clearly in a slow motion .He easily dodged them one after another .His brain had completely changed his processing level .This was the difference between the cultivators and mortals.
Fin thought of a machine gun and water in the atmosphere suddenly started to condensate and formed into a brand new machine gun but it was completely made of water.He tried to shoot but clearly there was no bullet .He blamed himself as a fool and imagined some water bullets .He tried to shoot but couldn't trigger the gun as it was liquid .
Fin was in predicament of what to do but on the other side ,people was scared shitless .They have seen many miracles today ,firstly he could fly ,he dodged bullets like they were some flies and he even formed a gun out of nowhere .They couldn't believe their eyes .
Some guys started pinching themselves to wake up from their dream and some people ran away thinking he was a monster .Others stood their like a sculpture not because they couldn't run ,they wanted to see what else he could do .They clearly believed they were in their dream and thought that nothing could hurt them . They thought after they woke up everything would be normal.
Fairy was laughing at this scene by clutching her stomach tightly .She hadn't laughed like that for a long ,long time .Her laughter was like a music that could hypnotize people.But unfortunately only Fin could hear and he was in no mood to appriciate her voice.
Fin glanced at her and got even more frustrated .He thought for a while and changed the weapon into bow and a arrow .He tried to connect them but bow string didn't budge ,clearly it was not expanding like a real bowstring 'How can it expand when it is in water state . I can't believe I haven't thought this way'.
He changed it again to a javelin and tried to threw it to a man nearby but it only splashed water on him not the nearby person , clearly he could not hold it like a real javelin .How could he when there was nothing to hold except water.
Fairy couldn't take it any more .She would die from laughing if he continued . She waved her staff and all the people nearby sent unconscious .She didn't kill them because it would create unnecessary attention and only made them sleep. By the time they woke up, they would think it was just a dream and forget it .
Fin wanted to ask Fairy right away about the problem but Eva was there .Her safety was his prime concern .Eva had tightly shut her eyes and clenched her small hands to her skirt. Fin felt his heart tighten when he watched her in that state. If he was facing the same situation against slightly stronger people, without Fairy's help ,he would have been helpless.
He told gently "Eva you can open your eyes ,everything is normal now".
Eva opened her small eyes and found everyone sleeping on the street .She was not an idiot and could tell something happened .She looked at Fin and said "You are hiding secrets from me ah?"
Fin was speechless ,he couldn't understand a girl's thoughts anymore "I will tell you when we go to our school". Eva nodded and didn't pursue the topic .She didn't bother to thank him as she thought it was his duty to protect her .
Later that night when everyone fell asleep .He asked "Fairy you can tell me now ,what exactly is going on ?"
