Bab 47: A dream of the empress’s past?

''Commander left her last words for you, young lady.''

Amethyst eyes fluttered open to those words from an unfamiliar voice. Rose took in the sight of tall men clad in silver amor, and a little girl standing before them.

Behind the little girl were maids watching the scene before their eyes unfold.

''She's sorry for not keeping her promise for one last time.'' Rose watched as the leading man lowered himself to hand the little girl an envelope, its surface marred with patches of dried blood.

This scene….it was a very familiar to her. Even without needing to guess, she could tell the identities of the little girl and the men.

''N-No….'' Rose saw the little girl looking at the envelope in disbelief. She must have understood what the man meant by those words.
