"Darius will do no such thing." She tried her best not to snap at him.
"Why not? He does not desire to rule his kingdom, does he? Honestly, there is only so much one can take. I would be bored to death if I ruled the same kingdom for so many years so I understand him. However, our kingdom is in danger, Delaney."
"Did you hear what I said?" Delaney shot him a furious glare. Although he was flabbergasted by how intimidating she had suddenly become, he was the king and he was not going to let himself be told off by a princess.
"I only want what's best for my people." He insisted.
She crossed her arms. "I was doing it for my beloved. I want what's best for my people. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone. These are all excuses used by people who want to be selfish while taking on the image of heroes. And you, King Reginald, might just face your retribution sooner than you think."
