Helen Blair stood up, walked away from her desk, and took hold of Julie Williams' hand, laughing, "What you said sounds like I'm promoting myself!"
Julie didn't care, "So what if you are? You've put in so much effort; it wouldn't matter if you promoted yourself a bit!" She continued, "I heard the award ceremony is next month, and that will be the best promotion!"
Helen simply smiled without a word.
A month later, the award ceremony took place at the People's Congress Hall.
The country awarded outstanding youth titles to those who had made remarkable contributions in various industries. Government officials then presented the awards to the recipients.
When it was time for Helen's award, she never expected Evelyn Martin to be the one presenting it to her!
With a calm expression, Evelyn handed the trophy and certificate to Helen. Helen kept her head lowered, not looking up until the very end. She managed a faint smile and softly said, "Congratulations."
