Bab 45: Blood

"THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE."

"THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING ABOUT YOU SOMEWHERE." Aubrey forces to be brave.

She battles to look away from his divine eyes and back to the last book, quickly flipping it open. She is flipping the pages over, but her eyes aren't on the words.

"You are just wasting your time, there is nothing about me anywhere in this world." She can here the cockiness in his voice. "Feel free to search every single book in this universe on Greek mythology, you wouldn't find anything about me."

His words make her stop searching and she turns to him. She stares blankly at him for a few seconds, trying to decipher if this is another mind trick to distract her from the main goal or if he is being sincere. 

"How is that so?"

Kai lets out a loud sigh, stretching out as he intertwines his hands behind his head and places his feet on the table.

Yet again, no one notices his iniquitous behavior.
