Bab 58: Shadow Play

My first clone was keeping an eye on my brother, Wisebell. It looked like he was finally making his move.

He had created an organization called the Tower of Sages, and he'd started collecting membership fees.

The members were ranked in tiers: Lower, Intermediate, Advanced, Supreme, and at the top, the Tower Lord—naturally, Wisebell himself.

The perks of joining? Members could access detailed class notes, almost like study guides. The higher the rank, the better the information—eventually even predictions for test questions and crucial material. But, of course, advancing in rank required both money and loyalty points.

Clever, but really, just a fancy game.

"We need to devise a plan to take down Ride," I overheard him say.

"We could turn the Tower members into assassins," suggested one of his cronies. "Dangle loyalty points as a reward."

"We'll start with poison."

Poison, huh?
