"I am not interested in banquets or parties," Tyler replied dryly. "You can tell Malcolm I rejected his invitation."

Natalie pursed her lips in confusion. Why did he refer to Lord Douglas by his first name? Were they close? Was Tyler being offensive, or was he so influential that even the royal family allowed him to be casual? The latter was unlikely.

"Look…" she began, putting her thoughts to rest. "I don't know how you earned the Douglas family's favor. But let me tell you, getting an invitation from the Prince of Petra is huge! On the other hand, turning it down won't be good for either of us. Dad committed to Lord Douglas that he'll bring you along. Please do it for me… Pretty please…"

Tyler sighed and shook his head lightly. Did Silas assume he could accept invitations on his behalf? Did the billionaire have no regard for his time? But Natalie looked so innocent and adorable pleading, it was challenging to say no.

"Fine! I'll go."
