Although the Sky Serpent's potential was only at N-rank, it already had a starting health of 180 points, and its energy reached an impressive 185%. While its five basic attributes were all at F-rank and it only had one skill, "Sky Explosion," that skill was high-tier and incredibly powerful!
Don't be fooled by the skill description that said it dealt only 50 points of damage—if the Sky Serpent used 100% of its energy in one go, the resulting explosion could deal up to 2,000 damage across a 36-meter radius! Combined with the Serpent's "Sky" attribute, which further boosted the skill's power, this little creature could easily annihilate most of the current players.
The only drawback was that such a powerful skill couldn't be used repeatedly. To unleash its full strength, the creature had to consume large amounts of energy in one shot. Of course, once the Sky Serpent's attribute and skill levels increased, it would be able to produce powerful explosions without needing to burn through all its energy.
Luckily, it had bonded with Alex. With such an unreasonable bloodline and skill set, few would be able to stand against it.
Seeing Emma's curious expression, Alex grinned and said, "This little guy is my reward."
"So cute! Can I take a look?" Emma asked, clearly fascinated by the little sky-blue creature. She reached out to touch it, but the Sky Serpent, shy by nature, squirmed into Alex's collar and wrapped itself around his neck, hiding from her. Emma looked at Alex expectantly.
Alex chuckled at the creature's timid behavior. Its slippery body tickled his neck, and with some exasperation, he pulled it out, placing it in his palm for Emma to admire. "For something that's supposed to have the strongest SR-level bloodline, it sure is a scaredy-cat!"
"Chirp!" The little serpent, seemingly understanding Alex's comment, raised its head in defiance, trying to look brave and heroic. However, the way its tail kept trembling slightly made the display more amusing than intimidating.
When Emma learned that this adorable creature was actually the legendary "Sky Serpent," she was stunned. Not only was it hard to imagine this cute little thing being the so-called strongest SR-level bloodline creature, but Alex's luck was off the charts. Instead of receiving a mere legacy, he had acquired the source of the legacy itself.
"Is that even possible!?" she exclaimed.
With the Sky Fortress now destroyed, leaving clouds of dust rolling across the eastern horizon, Alex and Emma headed back to the nearby resource point where Jessica and Holly were. Jessica had been in a weakened state earlier, which had worried them. As they approached the resource point, they noticed a horde of Belos monsters surrounding the stone gate.
Emma grew anxious, ready to charge in, but Alex held her back. He released the Sky Serpent instead, saying, "Wait. Trust me, we're fine."
Alex wasn't just offering empty reassurances—he genuinely believed the little guy could clear the monsters faster than Emma could.
As soon as Alex arrived, his "Overwhelming Crush" aura spread across the battlefield, immediately debuffing the monsters. The group of over a hundred creatures seemed frozen in place, their strength, agility, and other attributes reduced by five or six levels. Escape was no longer an option for them.
Despite its shy demeanor, the Sky Serpent showed its true nature when faced with combat—its desire for battle, or perhaps more accurately, for explosions, was undeniable. The creature's sky-blue body flashed as it moved, leaving behind a streak of afterimages as it zipped into the heart of the monster horde. Its speed was far superior to what an F-rank creature should be capable of.
"Chirp!"
With a clear, sharp cry, the Sky Serpent unleashed its skill, "Sky Explosion." Using 100% of its energy, a radiant blue light enveloped the monsters near the stone gate, engulfing them all in an instant.
"BOOM!!"
In the delayed explosion that followed, not only were the Belos monsters obliterated, but the surrounding debris was shaved down by several centimeters. Emma stood in stunned silence, watching the aftermath. This little creature had only just hatched minutes ago, and yet it already possessed such terrifying power. No wonder it was considered the strongest SR-level bloodline. Like its master, it was completely overpowered.
Alex, on the other hand, was more delighted than shocked. After obliterating over a hundred monsters, the Sky Serpent's level had jumped by 24 in one go. This meant that each Belos creature it killed granted the Sky Serpent about 20% experience—though Alex wondered if the serpent could share in the experience from creatures he killed as well.
Interestingly, unlike the rest of them, the Sky Serpent's first level-up bonus didn't increase its attack power but rather its health:
---
**Name:** Sky Serpent [Sky Serpent] SR-level Bloodline
Level: 2461% (Gained 1200 additional health)
Potential: N
Life: 1380
...
---
With such growth, the Sky Serpent's health would soon surpass even Jessica and the others. Even Alex was a bit taken aback—his pet was quickly becoming stronger than his teammates.
After wiping out the monsters at the gate, Alex and Emma rushed inside the resource point, where they found over a hundred more creatures causing havoc. However, there was no sign of Jessica or Holly.
Alex purposely killed just one monster and then checked the Sky Serpent's attributes. He noticed a new red symbol in his interface. Upon closer inspection, he realized that he could adjust how much experience the Sky Serpent gained.
"Would you like to allocate experience to the 'Sky Serpent'?"
**Note:** Maximum experience allocation is 50%. Experience conversion rate is 50%.
Seeing this, Alex felt a bit ripped off. If he allocated experience, the conversion efficiency was only 25%—half of it would be lost. However, since Alex couldn't gain any experience himself at the moment, being able to pass 25% of it to the Sky Serpent was better than nothing. He promptly set the allocation to 50%.
With that settled, Alex unleashed his full power, wiping out the remaining monsters in under two minutes. The Sky Serpent gained six more levels, bringing its health up to 1,500 points.
Alex and Emma finally found Jessica and Holly resting on the upper floor. Jessica's color had improved since earlier, though when asked, she admitted her health and overall condition were still far from ideal. That explained why they hadn't ventured out to deal with the monsters.
Seeing Alex and Emma return so soon, Jessica raised an eyebrow. Looking at the dust on their clothes, she asked with a smirk, "Back already? Did you two get blown up again?"
