Bab 76: ch76- Rising Force

As the terrifying six-figure damage output nearly doubled once again, everyone watching the battle in East Sea City—both spectators and guides—fell into a deep silence.

"Is this... a bug?"

Across the globe, even among the top million fighters, very few could even deal over ten thousand damage. But Alex had just unleashed 70,000 in one strike, followed by 150,000 in the next. What was going on?

Wouldn't such ridiculous damage draw the attention of the game's GMs?

Or did Alex possess some sort of terrifying skill that multiplied his attacks dozens of times?

The dazzling, star-bright damage numbers shattered the perspectives of many players. No matter how strong someone was, they couldn't be that far beyond the average, could they?

Right now, most N-tier Awakened Divinities (ADAs) could barely manage around 100 damage. Even the strongest R-tier ADAs typically dealt around 100-200 damage. The top hundred players in any given city might push to 500-1,000 at most.

Globally, only the best might hit 3,000-10,000, but Alex had blasted out 70,000 and 150,000. It was completely unreasonable.

Even Alex himself was startled by the six-figure damage number. He quickly recalled that his weapon, "Shadow of the Violet Abyss," had a 10x damage multiplier, and its special effect could trigger a critical hit ranging from 3x to 9x.

He wasn't sure exactly how high the critical hit multiplier had been, but one thing was clear: "Shadow of the Violet Abyss" was indeed a legendary weapon. Its output had surpassed even the "Champion's Blade," which had a set bonus.

Of course, part of the reason was that Alex's "Champion" set was still at R+9 quality, while "Shadow of the Violet Abyss" was already upgraded to SR+6. The difference in quality was significant.

This realization made Alex decide not to casually use "Shadow of the Violet Abyss" anymore. After all, the battle arena had a vast audience, and drawing too much attention wasn't a good idea.

After completing two easy victories, Alex started to feel a bit disappointed.

According to the elimination rules, that purple Belos monster had ranked within the top million players globally. But its attack was inaccurate, and it was felled in one blow, leaving Alex feeling a bit bored.

Waiting for the third match took even longer, as fewer winners had emerged from the third round.

About five minutes later, Alex finally matched with another opponent. Theoretically, this opponent should rank within the top 500,000 globally.

To Alex's surprise, his opponent seemed to be a fellow citizen of the East Sea Alliance, and his equipment looked quite impressive.

The design of the gear was familiar, and Alex quickly recognized it. It was the "Dragon God" set, with three pieces: the "Dragon God's Fang," "Dragon God's Scale," and "Dragon God's Wings." Whether the opponent also had the "Dragon God's Heart" was unclear due to its small size.

Regardless of how many pieces of the Dragon God set his opponent had purchased, the three pieces of divine gear alone signaled considerable power.

The opponent was a young man with short black hair, a square jaw, and sharp eyes. He didn't attack immediately but instead soared into the sky using his wings. Then, he spoke slowly, "I am William, captain of the third Special Forces Regiment of the Jinling Military District. What's your name?"

The man's military demeanor was apparent, but Alex couldn't tell if it was genuine. Curiously, he looked up and replied, "Hi, I'm Alex, a high school student from East Sea City in Guangdong Province."

Hearing Alex's reply, William raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. He continued, "East Sea City—have you made contact with the Guangdong Military District?"

Alex shook his head and answered honestly, "No, ever since communication cut off on the third day, we haven't received any news from outside the city."

William nodded in understanding, his sharp gaze still assessing Alex. "Your strength seems impressive. Have you managed to establish a city?"

Alex smiled sheepishly, trying to sound humble. "It's alright. I'm SR-tier. We've successfully built a city. It's called 'East Sea City.'"

William, clearly unaware of how much Alex was downplaying his abilities, nodded again, his expression now stern and authoritative. "Good, as long as the city has been established. Alex, you need to understand that this is no longer a time of peace. In the past, education was a path to success.

But now, with the immense power you've gained, you have a new mission: to protect your country!

The East Sea Alliance needs strong new leaders like you to step up and defend our nation and its people!

The capital has already established the first main city today. In Magic City, the rookie city has also reached level 9, and by tomorrow, they'll complete the establishment of the main city. I'm confident Flower City won't be far behind either. Before long, the order of the East Sea Alliance will be restored.

To the people of East Sea City, I urge you to believe in the Alliance and the military. Soon, we will bring back the peace and safety you once knew. But until then, stay strong and don't lose hope!"

As William gave his passionate speech while hovering in the air, Alex stood below, utterly baffled. He couldn't tell if this guy was the real deal or just a crazy enthusiast. But either way, William's speech was impressive.

If more leaders like him used platforms like the "Global Battle Arena" to spread such messages, it could truly inspire many across the Alliance.

Thus, Alex patiently waited for William to finish his speech without interrupting.

After his stirring address, William, visibly emotional, descended to the ground and gave Alex a nod of approval. "Regardless of who wins or loses this fight, I hope that you too will carry the spirit of the Alliance. For the people who are struggling, we are the beacons of hope."

Moved, Alex felt an unfamiliar sense of responsibility and pride welling up within him. For the first time, he felt the weight of his power and the destiny it carried.

Nodding heavily, Alex's youthful face took on an unusual seriousness for his age, and he promised, "I'll do my best."

Alex's maturity clearly pleased William, who smiled and said, "I, too, have SR-tier potential. Don't hold back in the upcoming fight. Do your best."

It was evident that William, wearing his full "Champion" set, considered Alex formidable, but still believed there was a gap between them, even though both of them were SR-tier fighters.
