Bab 192: The Deal: Part One

Esme stared at the dark hues of the tree leaves above her. Tears trickled down the sides of her cheeks, across her earlobes and into the grass below her. She was cursed. A laugh bubbled up in her throat but stopped instantly. The she-wolf always assumed she had been cursed by the Moon Goddess, and now in actual fact, she was but by Erebus, the god of darkness. Her.. ex-husband. 

Yet, as she lay there, she wondered what happened because surely the curse had been broken? Nyx and Gabriel were never meant to meet again, that was part of the curse, and she was forever to be followed by despair. Was something yet to pass? Was this happiness coming to an end?
