Bab 254: Taste of Vengeance (8)

Scarlett smiled at his threatening response, and much to Leo's surprise, she released the constraints of her control over Leo. Scarlett probably felt so superior to Leo that she didn't deem him a threat. This was all some sort of game to show who was truly the weak one here.

He felt in his muscles as they relaxed. Leo continued their waltz, gliding Scarlett across the floor to the music, surprising her. He knew all of her expressions from watching her so closely. She mostly wore a mischievous smile or one of boredom, but there had been times when the little façade, if that's what he should call it, slipped.

Like now, it was only miniscule, but Scarlett's eyes widened. She didn't expect him to actually continue the dance.
