Eventually, his eyes caught a glimpse of a figure moving through the red mist created by the flare, and he finally understood how the assassin was shooting so many arrows, all of them with a remarkable speed.

A crossbow could be seen in the assassin's hand as he ran, not forgetting to shoot arrows from time to time.
