Bab 71: Chapter-71 Ten-Masters Clan Conference pt-6
(A/N:-An advance chapter since the story seems kinda slow, no chapters for the next two days.)

"Fujibayashi Kyouko, huh?....I have heard quite a lot about her from some students of [Second High School]." (Katsuto)
"Of course you would have, she is after all the reason behind their eventual victory last year, in the [Nine-School Competition]." (Erik)
"I suppose, you have already dealt with her?" (Katsuto)
"Hmm...." (Erik)
"How is the meeting proceeding?" (Erik)
Erik and Katsuto were having a conversation through the former's magic.
He was using his magic, [Outer-Systematic Magic] to telepathically communicate with Juumonji, who was currently inside the conference room.
By projecting his thoughts on his psion, Erik was able to act as a transmitter while Katsuto, with his [Kagura:-Eye of Mind], was able to pinpoint the former's psion.
Establishing a bridge connecting their minds, enabling an exchange of thoughts.
"Elder Retsu was delivering his speech but a nuisance appeared out of nowhere and is currently berating him." (Katsuto)
"Nuisance?" (Erik)
"It seems that a wanted man named Dr.Eriskiel was somehow able to enter the conference room, he also seems to know Elder Retsu personally." (Katsuto)
"Though they seem to be old enemies more than anything." (Katsuto)
"Interesting....." (Erik)
"Yeah, he must have some kind of plan since h—" (Katsuto)
*Bam*
All of a sudden, out of nowhere the hotel shook violently. As if someone had just punched the building with so much force that it actually could be felt all inside the building.
*Crash*
Due to the sudden "tremor", people were thrown off their feet, sent crashing into each other and tables around them.
Erik stumbled forward but maintained his balance, a serious expression on his face. He immediately injected psion in his eyes to identify the source of this "tremor".
The world around Erik suddenly lost colour, irrelevant objects were also filtered out, leaving behind a detailed boundary and information around the objects within the plane.
'[Boosted Elemental Sight]....'
Using the overpowered eyes, he immediately focused on the massive disturbance coming from the conference room.
Due to the disturbance, he couldn't access the information of the source but he did found the location of the source.
'Hmm.....there is a lot of magical disturbance, even with these eyes I can't pierce through it.'
Erik deactivated his [Boosted Elemental Sight] and switched to using his [Hollow's Eyes], even though the range of the latter was limited, it never failed him.
Once again, the world, from Erik's perspective descended into darkness as multiple bright, humanoid figures appeared within the dark.
He ignored the humanoid figures and filtered through them, to pinpoint the one soul he was searching for, the source.
Focusing on the conference room, he spotted a massive soul. This soul was 3/4th of the size of his own soul which was boosted by [Hollow God].
It radiated a mad power, 13 times even more so than Erik's Psion count which isn't naturally possible.
The latter had a more powerful soul compared to this new individual but what made the former possess this mad power was the burning of his incomplete soul.
The newcomer's enormous soul was covered with green coloured fire which was burning its vitality in exchange for mad power.
'Who is this person?'
'How is he even able to burn his soul for power!?'
Erik's mind went into over-drive, trying to figure out the identity of this individual, if he was someone from the novel or someone new altogether.
He tried to communicate with Katsuto but unfortunately, due to the disturbance, he couldn't project his thoughts towards the conference room.
'This is not good!"
Erik immediately burst into speed, dashing towards the conference room. He couldn't afford to relax, Katsuto was strong, he could handle himself even against this newcomer.
But he didn't have any confidence in Elder Retsu surviving against such monster.
'I need to make sure Elder Retsu lives, I can't afford any setbacks in the plan...'

Argh!
The sudden tremor caught me off guard, the force sent me crashing into the glass fountain.
The fragile structure, of course, couldn't handle the stress placed on it due to the contact, causing it to shatter right on top of me.
I immediately activated strengthening magic to make my skin as hard as steel, using my dominant hand to cover my head.
The glass shards made contact with my skin, they couldn't damage me but it wasn't fun getting hit by glass shards even with a skin made of steel.
"Sir, are you alright?" (Kyouko)
I turned towards the source of the sound, spotting my First Lieutenant standing next to me with her left palm slightly bruised.
I nodded towards Kyouko before looking around, Yanagi Muraji, a fellow Major and second-in-command was making sure that no one was fatally injured.
Hm....the body count doesn't add up?
"Where are Kudou Minoru and Erik Saltzman?" (Kazama)
"I don't know about Minoru but I believe I saw Mr.Saltzman running towards the conference room." (Yanagi)
Conference room?
Don't tell me this is some kind of attack!?
This is not good! Not good at all!
"Follow behind Mr.Saltzman Jr. and make sure to keep an eye on him while making sure of his safety." (Kazama)
"This is the second time he has been involved in a dangerous attack, the Saltzman company will not take this kindly." (Kazama)
If he is once again injured, especially in the presence of government officials and magicians, the Saltzman Empire may take it as a sign of disrespect.
We shouldn't piss them off too much otherwise they will retaliate against everyone.
"I doubt that Mr.Saltzman needs protection, but we will make sure to keep an eye on him." (Kyouko)
What do you mean by that, Kyouko?
"Explain..." (Kazama)
"He is pretty powerful himself, I watched the [Nine-School Competition] and he didn't even look like he was trying. I suspect that he is hiding his power." (Kyouko)
"Well, he is of course very powerful, Elder Retsu complemented his talent in [Convergence-Type] to exceed even that of Yotsuba Maya, known as the greatest [Convergence-Specialist]." (Kazama)
The Old man specifically stated that Erik may very well lead this generation.
Of course, he isn't to be underestimated.
"I know that Sir.....but I still think that he is actually more powerful." (Kyouko)
Looking at Kyouko's expression, I could tell that she was absolutely serious about her claim.
She firmly believes Erik to be much more powerful than he lets on.
Well, now that I think about it, it does make sense.
The need to hide your strength arises when you don't have a strong backing or you don't want to attract attention to yourself.
Mr.Saltzman Jr. does not lack in the backing, which leads me to believe that the latter is true in the case.
I wonder why.....
"He previously invited me to work for him, should I accept and act as a spy? I am pretty sure that with my expertise, I can get away with it." (Kyouko)
A very good idea, Kyouko....but also a very dangerous one. Erik Saltzman knows about your connection to the 101-Battalion and if even then he knowingly invites you to join him.
It means that he has taken necessary precaution against you, not to mention that if you happen to "disappear" suddenly, there will be nothing the government could do.
The gains are not worth the risks!
"No, there is no need to do so....." (Kazama)
"Just make sure that he is unharmed." (Kazama)
"Yes sir!...." (Kyouko and Yanagi)
