Bab 13: Chapter 13: The Thompson Family's Enormous Wealth

Thick smoke billowed, obscuring the ground.

Everyone rushed outside.

If Michael Gallagher hadn't been so terrified of fire, he would have easily escaped, but his fear paralyzed him. When a fire broke out, it became nearly impossible for him to get away.

Molly Walker quickly grabbed a nearby tablecloth, soaked it in the fish tank, and draped it over her body before sprinting upstairs.

Michael Gallagher stood frozen at the door, overwhelmed by the familiar smoke.

His feet felt glued to the floor as he watched a tall figure rush toward him, disoriented.

"Michael, Michael..."

The figure called out, grabbing him and trying to pull him away.

Michael closed his eyes, his throat hoarse as he softly whispered a name.

Molly Walker's body stiffened.

As she had suspected, Michael couldn't move when confronted with fire. This was his hidden weakness.
