Asher looked at L with a displeased face. All this time, that man never asked him anything regarding whatever move he made, but it looks like his curiosity is too much to handle now.

The tension between Asher and L was palpable, hanging in the air like a heavy fog. "Why do you want to know after this long?" Asher's voice was laced with suspicion, his eyes never leaving L's.

"It's never in our agreement that I can't ask that question. You saved me when I was in danger, and then you promised me that you'd make me the King after you succeeded in overthrowing the King who is your own father. Then you make me promise not to make Princess Ariana fall in danger as if she is your precious sister when the whole empire knows that none of your family including yourself care about her."
