Bab 3: Dragon's Rage
"Is he seriously going to kill him?" "Maybe we should report it to teachers." "And what do you think they are going to do? Normal people don't have any powers against ability users, even if he kills him he's not gonna suffer much" whisper of students started to spread as everybody thought that they were going to witness murder before their own eyes.
Karl heard the comments standing there, doing nothing. What could he do? He didn't had powers and many people didn't. Mana wielder only made 10% of the whole human population, who had both money and power, they could get away with anything if they held power, power that protected the human society but the other side of it was eating the society alive.
Karl had heard this many times, that he couldn't anything, he had no power and the society can't be changed. He had hope before, he thought that maybe he will also one day wield the power and change the world but that hope got crushed little by little as he got older. His breaking point was when he got mana poising which made his body and life weak day by day. He had self-isolated himself, playing games, escaping reality, living in self-loath.
Karl's hope started to re-appear when he got the dragon system but that soon disproved of him. His mind started to race, his different emotions started to turn into anger, he got more and more Angier by the society, by the situation before, by people who misused their powers, by his lack of power to bring a change that he envisioned.
Karl started to move, he wanted to at least save one life or die trying, each step of his made him a little stronger, his power increased as he went to face a problem that needed to be fixed, he saw a punch toward a helpless guy being throw, he mustered as much of the strength he could blocking the punch and said "GET YOUR HAND OFF HIM!"

Karl radiated pure rage toward the guy who tried to kill just for petty reasons.
"Master mat, I will deal with this guy" one of the two henchman beside the blonde guy; mat, said.
Mat didn't heard him as his focus was on Karl; he got scared from the look on Karl's face. The henchmen went by mat, toward Karl. He threw a punch at Karl that was blocked and then a twisting voice came from his shoulder.
"Auhhh"cried the henchmen, water coming from his eyes, his hand twisted and a bone sticking out, he fell to the ground on his knee. Karl kicked him in the stomach with his newly gained boost, which sent him across the floor.

The other henchmen moved to sneak up on Karl while he was dealing with the other guy, henchman #2 went behind Karl with a knife pointed at his head, and thrusted with all his power, just as the knife was going to penetrate Karl's skull it stopped, the expression on henchman#2 changed, he couldn't move his arm. Karl had caught his arm stopping the attack, his grip started to tighten more and more until it broke the bone inside. Karl lifted the second henchmen with his strength and threw him towards mat; the blonde guy.

Mat finally recovered from his daze and stared at Karl with angry eyes. "how dare you attack me!" mat said gathering the mana surrounding him into his glove, as more and more mana was being gathered a small ball of yellow light started to form above his hand. When the yellow ball became the size of the tennis ball mat threw it towards Karl and cried "DIE!"

Karl suddenly felt weird, he could see thin layer of white light around him acting as the winds. 'Maybe this is mana…' Karl thought. His thought was interrupted by the wicked laugh of mat and the progressing energy ball towards him. Karl thought that he might die from the energy ball but couldn't avoid it. As it collided with Karl's body it shattered into little pieces. It surprised Karl that he survived the attack and then he remembered a message about defense stat. a shocked expression spread across mat's face as he saw that his attack didn't work, he started to run in fear of what Karl will do to him but Karl caught up to him with his new speed and punched him on his face with all the strength he could muster.
