Bab 49: Fractured Alliance

The pinnacle wind blasted about Avery, leaving her mind reeling from the Architect's words. She turned to see her battalion appear beside her, their expressions a mixture of astonishment and awe. 

"What just happened?" Lucas demanded, his gaze shifting between Avery and the fascinating genius. 

Before anyone could react, Elena Russo appeared, her normally composed address shattered."You wisecrack!" she yelled at the mastermind."Do you have any idea what you've done?" 

The architect's lips curled into a boo."I've given them an option, Elena commodity you were unwilling to perform." 

Avery's thoughts reeled, questions bouncing off each other."Do you two know each other?" What is this place? And what did you mean by "gods being born"? 

The mastermind turned to face her, his eyes sparkling."Everything will be explained, Avery." But first, a decision needs to be made.
