Rei smiled as he saw Toda getting out. He noticed the next player came up and got into position. Suzaku's confidence went up a notch after that and pitched perfectly where Rei asked him to. He was able to get a strikeout only with 3 pitches.
Toda stood beside his coach Toka and said, "Coach, the first two balls felt like they were balls. How were they strikes?" as he observed the 5th batter return to the dugout and the 6th batter go up into the batter's box.
The coach, Toka, patted the 5th batter saying well down and said to Toda, "They would have been strikes if not for their catcher. He is very skilled, probably one of the most I have seen in this generation. It's a skill possessed by a catcher once they get into later stages of high school or the early stages of playing Pro baseball."
