He grinned and took a steamy step closer, flailing his arms wide. "Come and jump for a hug right in~ My arms always welcome you."

Jia placed her firm palm on his chest, putting a stop to his unneeded enthusiasm. She didn't break eye contact or her expression. "So you are serious when you say that you will deal with Dong Haoyu."

"Did you perhaps think I was joking my dear?"

Her eyes narrowed. "Don't take me for a fool, Mingshen! Right when Dong Haoyu is supposed to be arrested, something like this happens. Sounds awfully convenient. Did you…did you plan this?"

He cocked his brow up. "How come everything is shady for you? I got no involvement here. My new assistant was shot. What did I do here?"
