Mingshen smirked. "Do you want me to serve you soup? It's definitely not laced with a sleeping dose."

Now Jia wondered what exactly on her plate was safe to eat. She looked up from her plate to a beaming Yang Bingqing.

Wait, this food has been prepared by Aunt so it must be safe to eat.

"You really cannot trust my mother, either~"

"Did you say something?" Yang Bingqing narrowed her eyes.

"I was just highlighting trust issues in regards to you," he sneered.

She sneered back. "Unlike for a certain ungrateful son, I wouldn't mix anything suspicious in Jia's food who I adore so much."
