When Daisy did not say anything, the man wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into his arms. Ryle buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling the fragrance that had been haunting him for what seemed like ages now. 

His grip around her body tightened almost as if he wanted to meld her into him, ''If you are angry, vent it. Fight me, hit me. But I won't allow you to ignore me.'' 

''I don't need your permission to do anything,'' Daisy's voice had somehow grown soft. The words that were intended to chastise him seemed like little complaints that she was stating for him to coax her. 

Ryle raised his head and looked into her eyes. Under the moonlight, she seemed even more ethereal. 

He cupped her face and pressed his forehead against hers, ''I miss you. I have missed you so bad, Daisy,'' he whispered against her lips.
