Bab 236: A scare

Fil had always suspected that Michael was more than meets the eye. However, she didn't expect that what more than meets the eye was something so heavy.

Everything he said made her reflect on herself. She didn't even know how she parted with him or got herself a cab to go home. It was as though time had just slipped past her and now, she was just walking herself back home. 

[I'm too deep into this.]

[You remind me of her.]

[I can't abandon her again.]

"How insensitive of me to say that to him," she murmured, now realizing how insensitive she must've sounded when she told him to let things go. "If I were in his shoes…"
