Bab 1: CHAPTER:1 Nightmares (Viviane Human Realm)
Red. I hated the color red because it was the color that haunted my dreams. Agony, pain, despair, and blood were everywhere, and then as my eyes drifted around, on the wall was the body of my best friend, Tara, or what was left of her body.
A choking stench filled the air, blood the reeking smell of blood. My feet felt wet and cold, and when I looked down my feet were covered in blood, blood that wasn't mine.
And suddenly the body on the wall moved its head as if she was cocking her head towards me. She jerked free from the nails that were pinning her to the wall, then leaped in the air, and then as she landed downwards, my heart raced, my friend, she was still alive.
She was as dead as anything but somehow a tiny fragment of life still clung to her damaged body. And I ran towards her, she stood there, not moving a single muscle.
And then I stopped as she spoke. "Viviane". My name, that I had almost forgotten. I was overjoyed and said:
" Tara don't worry I will save you and we will be back home soon."
She laughed, a crow's laugh as if she was mocking my words. Then she replied:
" Save me, forget about saving me, and try to save your worthless and cursed life if you can. "
And then she leaped in the air and her left hand grew claws that lunged for me and I staggered back timely otherwise that would have been the end for me.
I screamed: " Why? why are you doing this to me?
Please stop, I beg you, Tara. You are not in your senses."
She only advanced toward me and the next moment she was dragging her claws all over my neck. Then she pierced through my neck...." Blood! blood!" I jerked awake, my neck in my hands as I continued to scream out the word I had hated most. Blood.
Then I heard someone's worried cries echoing all over my apartment. As I calmed myself down and sat up straight in my bed, my clothes sweat-slicked and my hair disheveled. Then someone switched on the lights in my room.
Tara. I saw a perfectly fine Tara standing near my bed with her younger sister, Kaitlyn. Tara offered me water and I reached my hand forward to grab the glass. I drank the water as we all remained silent.
After I had calmed down a bit, Tara finally spoke: " What happened?"
And I replied, choking. " You, you were bloody and you lunged towards me.... to kill me and, and I told you to"
Tara hushed me, sitting close to me, sliding a comforting hand around my back, and said:
" Nightmare. It was only a nightmare, Viv nothing more." I said nothing.
After a pause, Kaitlyn said:" Dear Viviane you are alright and safe so please stop crying now."
Tara nodded saying" Go take a bath and I'll bring you some hot chocolate."
I finally spoke " Okay."
Tara left and Kaitlyn helped me gather my stuff for the bath.
