Bab 215: Chapter 215: False Alarm

The afternoon Potions class was simply torture for the students. Facing Snape's gloomy face, everyone couldn't help but feel anxious, and some students even felt mentally overwhelmed.

Many students were afraid of Snape, afraid of being targeted while brewing potions, and afraid of being called upon during class.

In the magical world, there were very few wizards who were truly skilled in potion-making, and even fewer were like Snape, a Potions Master. So it was unrealistic to expect everyone to become a Potions Master like him.

The two classes in the afternoon went smoothly. Snape taught everyone how to brew a Hair-Raising Potion. In Albert's view, this potion was a godsend for middle-aged balding men. If this potion was improved and brought to the Muggle world for sale, it would probably be in high demand.

"Anderson, stay back after class," Snape said from behind Albert as he watched him brew the potion, breaking the silence after a long time.

"Sure!" Albert replied casually, throwing a glance at Fred and the others beside him, indicating that everything was fine. Although Albert did feel a bit guilty when facing Snape, he was confident that Snape couldn't read his thoughts.

After all, he was a Level 3 Occlumens. Even if Snape used Legilimency directly on him, he might not be able to extract the memories he wanted.

As the bell rang at the end of class, the students let out a sigh of relief. After hurriedly handing in their potion samples, they fled the Potions classroom.

"You added an excessive amount of ginger root to the Hair-Raising Potion?" Snape asked as he stared at Albert's potion sample.

"I added it twice, five slices." Albert shrugged. "The effect of the Hair-Raising Potion is obviously more remarkable that way."

Snape stared at Albert for a long time, his eyes seeming to shimmer with a peculiar light. Then he took out a folded parchment from his pocket and handed it to Albert, saying strangely, "It seems you're quite famous now."

Albert was a bit puzzled, but he still reached out to take the parchment from Snape. Then Snape said, "Do you know what happened last night?"

"Are you talking about the Slytherin student who was caught night wandering?" Albert looked away from the parchment, a pleasant smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "That was truly regrettable."

"Now disappear from my sight with your cleverness." Snape motioned for Albert to leave.

Albert shrugged, stuffed the parchment into his pocket, and turned to leave the gloomy and cold Potions classroom. He quickly caught up with the three who had deliberately slowed down and were waiting for him.

"Did that old bat do anything to you?" Fred asked worriedly, recalling the incident that had happened not long ago.

"What could he do?" Albert laughed.

"Why did Snape look for you?" George asked curiously.

"He gave me a letter of introduction!" Albert took out the parchment and explained, "A well-known potion master is interested in me, probably hoping to establish correspondence."

"You have quite a few pen pals." Fred glanced at the parchment and asked, "They actually want you to contribute to 'Practical Potioneer'?"

"Probably because of Hectork Dagworth-Granger!" Albert speculated. If Dagworth-Granger had mentioned him to others, it wouldn't be surprising for the editor of 'Practical Potioneer' to confirm the authenticity of the matter through Snape.

As is well known, many academic journals are connected to Hogwarts professors.

"Your future is bright," Fred couldn't help but exclaim, "the only question is when you'll become the Minister of Magic."

"The position of Minister of Magic is nothing but a pit," Albert couldn't help rolling his eyes, looking disdainful. "Whoever wants it can have it."

They all burst into laughter.

"The Hair-Raising Potion today was not bad. By the way, you seemed to have added ginger root twice," the four of them chatted as they walked towards the library on the fifth floor.

"Yes, five slices. If I can get rid of that annoying spiciness, I believe the Hair-Raising Potion will be very popular in the Muggle world."

"The Muggle world?" Lee Jordan looked at Albert in astonishment. He knew that his roommate did have the idea of selling potions to Muggles, but it still seemed strange.

"The Muggle world has no good solution for treating baldness." Albert smiled as he explained, "A bunch of wealthy people would be fighting to buy it; after all, they have money to spare."

The three exchanged glances, not commenting on Albert's ideas.

Most wizards rarely needed to use Muggle money. Although they knew that they could exchange Galleons from Gringotts with Muggle money, in fact, the vast majority of pure-blood wizards had no idea about Muggle coins, let alone the idea of using such means to make money.

"You guys go look for information on the Dendrobium Parasol Mushroom in 'A Compendium of Poisonous Fungi' first," Albert instructed Fred and the others. "I'm going to write a letter to Hectork Dagworth-Granger."

Albert planned to discuss with this Potions Master and see if they could further improve or dilute the Hair-Raising Potion, ensuring that its effects on Muggles would be slow and not arouse suspicion.

Of course, Albert also wanted to purchase dried Mandrake roots through Dagworth-Granger. Ever since he found out that Mandrake roots could be used to make powerful protective amulets, he couldn't help but want to try it.

"Found it!"

Not long after, George interrupted Albert's thoughts and placed the page on the Dendrobium Parasol Mushroom in front of everyone.

"Let me see." Fred read through the page quickly and muttered, "When picking it, you need to be careful not to inhale too many spores, or you'll experience mental confusion... It's best to wear dragonhide gloves to avoid contact between the skin and the mushroom spores, which can cause skin redness... The whole root needs to be taken together, or the Dendrobium Parasol Mushroom will easily wither and rot..."

As a poisonous mushroom, there were indeed many precautions when picking the Dendrobium Parasol Mushroom. If one wasn't careful, they might end up in trouble.

However, the Dendrobium Parasol Mushrooms cultivated in the school's greenhouse were naturally safer.

Well, the best method to capture them in the wild was using food bait.

"It seems that the difficulty is higher than expected!" Albert put away the half-written letter and also leaned over to read the information they found. He thought for a moment and said, "The food bait method might be a bit difficult for us. For now, we can only try our luck in the forest during the rainy season."

If they couldn't find any, they would have to buy them from the apothecary.

Moreover, anything related to dragons wasn't cheap, and dragon claw powder was no exception.

If they added the cost of purchasing dried Mandrake roots, Albert's money pouch would likely shrink significantly. He couldn't help but sigh; he suddenly realized that he didn't have enough Galleons.

It seemed that he needed to find a way to earn more Galleons.
