For the past few days, it had been raining continuously, making the path in the Forbidden Forest muddy. Albert, who was following behind Hagrid, almost slipped several times.

"Hagrid, wait a moment." After nearly slipping again, Albert finally called out to Hagrid and walked to the side to find a sturdy branch.

"What are you doing with that?" Hagrid asked. He soon understood what Albert wanted to do as the branch transformed under the effect of Transfiguration into a makeshift walking stick.

"Now I understand why adventurers in novels always carry a walking stick," Albert chuckled as he explained to Hagrid.

"You look like a little old man," Hagrid couldn't help but tease.

"No, this way, it feels more adventurous," Albert didn't mind Hagrid's teasing and continued to follow him with the makeshift walking stick, while Fang ran around them.

After walking a considerable distance, they were far away from the school, but Albert felt like they hadn't ventured deep into the Forbidden Forest and were only skirting its outskirts.

Finally, they stopped in front of a large oak tree. Albert saw a shelter for rain on higher ground. It looked like a dog kennel, if it indeed was one.

"Fluffy." Hagrid put down the iron bucket, cupped his hands around his mouth, and shouted forward.

As Hagrid called out "Fluffy," Albert felt like he was being stared at by something. Deep, yet somewhat naive growls suddenly came from the right.

"Step back a bit, Fluffy is a bit shy," Hagrid gestured to Albert to step back while he reached out and picked up the black shadow that pounced on him.

It was a dog, to be more precise, a three-headed dog named Fluffy. Wasn't this the three-headed dog that Dumbledore used as the first obstacle to protect the Philosopher's Stone?

However, Fluffy was still very small, about the size of a bull terrier puppy, and was squirming desperately in Hagrid's arms, trying to break free.

Fluffy seemed wary of Albert, a stranger. With its three heads and six eyes fixed on him, if it weren't so small, Albert felt that he might not be able to stand here so calmly.

"Don't worry, he's Albert, my friend," Hagrid said to Fluffy in a cooing tone.

Albert stared at Fluffy in Hagrid's arms and twitched his mouth as he asked, "Hagrid, is this your...dog?"

"Fluffy is more cautious around unfamiliar scents," Hagrid said as he hugged the three-headed dog tightly, not letting it escape from his arms.

"I know," Albert took a few steps back and reached out to touch Fang's head, muttering, "Fang is cuter."

"No, this little baby is adorable too," Hagrid brought Fluffy closer to Albert so that it could smell Albert's scent.

"Little baby?" Albert felt his face twitching, "How old is it?"

"About... five months old, I think." Hagrid said uncertainly, "About a month and a half ago, I bought it from a Greek guy in the Hog's Head."

"I remember that three-headed dogs are extremely rare magical creatures," Albert raised an eyebrow and asked back.

"That guy was a smuggler," Hagrid said angrily, "Fluffy looked terrible at the time, and it could die at any moment, so the Greek guy didn't want it anymore. He sold it to me at a lower price."

The Ministry of Magic was as unreliable as ever.

"The Ministry of Magic is full of idiots," Hagrid said indignantly, "Even if they catch smugglers, they'll just dispose of them."

Albert suddenly asked, "Does Dumbledore know?"

At that moment, Albert saw Hagrid becoming anxious and flustered.

Forget it, let's not bring up this topic again!

Albert sighed and saw the answer in Hagrid's expression.

"Can I feed Fluffy?" He changed the subject.

"Oh, of course you can," Hagrid put down Fluffy and reassured Albert in a low voice, "Don't be nervous, Fluffy just wants to smell you."

"Although you say that..." Albert held onto his wand, still worried that Fluffy might suddenly bite him. Even though it was still small, being bitten by a dog of this size wouldn't be pleasant.

Hagrid led Fluffy around Albert, allowing the three-headed dog to sniff his scent. Sometimes, one of its heads would show its teeth, but after Hagrid patted it on the head, it settled down again.

"Good, sit down, stay." Hagrid instructed Fluffy.

"Isn't Fang afraid of Fluffy?" Albert asked in puzzlement. While he was feeding Fluffy, this three-headed dog seemed relatively well-behaved. Each head was eating its portion of the meat, but he couldn't imagine what it felt like to have three heads on one body.

"They get along just fine," Hagrid explained. "Before the start of term, I kept Fluffy in my cabin until its body fully recovered, and then I let it roam here."

Though Hagrid had used a long vine to bind Fluffy.

"Hagrid, can I touch it?" Albert turned his head to ask.

"Well, I think... it should be fine!" Hagrid replied uncertainly.

"You're not exactly filling me with confidence," Albert resisted the urge to comment and finally gave up on the idea of touching the three-headed dog.

He only used his walking stick to play with the little guy. After glancing at the bite marks on the stick, he gave up the idea of rubbing the three dog heads.

"Isn't it cute?" Hagrid giggled.

"Most animals are cute when they're young," Albert didn't deny it. If it didn't bite people, this young three-headed dog would still be alright, but...

"Hagrid, have you thought about what to do when it...I mean, Fluffy grows up?" Albert took out the remaining dog food from his pocket and fed the three-headed dog. It seemed to like the biscuits and became much friendlier after Albert fed it.

"Well..."

"From what I know, three-headed dogs can grow to be as tall as an average adult. After just one year, it won't be something a vine can keep in check anymore," Albert kindly reminded, "Don't worry, I won't let it show up at Hogwarts. Also, I have a way to easily calm it down."

Hagrid confidently patted his chest and took out a rough flute from his pocket. He blew a tune, and Fluffy, who had just been eating, started to feel drowsy and soon fell asleep.

"How did you do that?" Even though he knew that music could put Fluffy to sleep, Albert was still amazed to witness it firsthand.

"It's my secret," Hagrid smiled proudly, "It took me half a month to find this good method."

"Well, from what I know, in Muggle Greek mythology, there's a three-headed dog called Cerberus. To get past it, you need to lull it to sleep with music," Albert raised an eyebrow and continued, "But that's not important. You still need to be careful, and I don't think Dumbledore would allow you to keep this thing. My advice to you is, once Fluffy grows up, send it back to Greece, or just keep it deep in the Forbidden Forest."

Hagrid's face was full of conflict.

"Hagrid, I want to touch it," Albert interrupted Hagrid, "Can you play the flute to put it to sleep again?"

"Uh, sure!" Hagrid agreed, continuing to blow the flute. Fluffy, who had just awakened, fell back into a deep sleep.

Albert immediately approached and rubbed the three dog heads. Unfortunately, he didn't have a camera; otherwise, taking a picture would be great.

"The brown fur of the three-headed dog feels quite comfortable," Albert said as he rubbed each head in turn, muttering quietly.

"Albert also likes Fluffy, huh?" Hagrid thought as he saw this scene.

After Albert was satisfied with petting Fluffy, Hagrid stopped playing the flute. They quietly left while Fluffy was still eating, and Fang looked at Fluffy and then at Hagrid's retreating figure before quickly catching up to them.

Bab 193: Chapter 193: Everything Will

Sizzle!

On the sizzling hot barbecue grill, white smoke rose, carrying the delicious aroma of grilled meat through the air.

Outside Hagrid's hut, a barbecue was in progress.

Albert used tongs to flip the beef on the grill, the slightly marinated steak turning a faint golden color.

"Onions, lemons, and eggs," Hagrid placed the ingredients on the table, took a bite of the freshly grilled bread from his plate, and stared at Albert flipping the steak, feeling even hungrier.

Before, Hagrid thought he was pretty good at cooking, but now... he felt like he was just getting the food cooked.

Albert waved his wand at an onion, using the cutting spell to slice it into thin pieces, brushed some sauce on it, and placed it on the grill.

The eggs were fried in a skillet and then placed on a plate together with the grilled steak. He added some grilled onion slices and a fried egg, along with a big spoonful of canned peanuts. The homemade grilled steak was now complete.

"It smells good. Seems like marinating the steak is necessary," Hagrid said eagerly, cutting himself a big piece of beef and taking a bite.

"The real pleasure comes from tasting the food you've cooked yourself. There's an inexplicable sense of satisfaction and achievement," Albert said. In fact, he had culinary skills, but he never bothered to level them up. After all, he rarely needed to cook his own meals at home.

Albert was about to put the piece of beef into his mouth when he suddenly heard a familiar scream from a distance.

"Wait!"

With the fork already in his mouth, Albert turned his head to the direction of the voice. It was Fred and the others, rushing towards them.

"You, you're grilling steak here?" Fred's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Hagrid and Albert, who were enjoying their grilled steak.

Of course, Hogwarts also provided steak, but seeing Albert grilling steak here made them feel a bit unbalanced.

"It tastes decent," Albert said, squeezing lemon juice onto the steak and taking another bite, then he looked up and asked, "Didn't you guys say you didn't have time to come?"

"We came to deliver a letter to you, but who would've thought we'd find you hiding here, grilling steak," George said, looking rather distressed.

"I'm just having a meal at Hagrid's place," Albert took a bite of the grilled onion and pushed the fried egg into his mouth with the fork before asking, "Where's my letter?"

"Here it is," George handed the letter to Albert.

"How come the owl didn't deliver it directly to me?" Albert was a bit puzzled, receiving the letter from George.

"Professor Smith asked me to give it to you," George explained, his gaze fixed on the cheese-baked potatoes on the grill.

"If you want to eat, get it yourself, so you don't get burned," Hagrid found it a bit amusing, inviting the three to sit down and eat, "I had no idea Albert's cooking skills were this good."

"Professor Smith, huh?" Albert nodded in understanding, and upon seeing the sender, he could probably guess what was inside.

"Aren't you going to open it and see what's written?" Fred's mouth was full of cheese-baked potatoes.

"Oh," Albert thought about it and decided to open the envelope. It was a letter from Sylla Harriches, expressing her willingness to communicate with Albert through letters. She also mentioned two books related to alchemy.

"What does it say inside?" Lee Jordan asked curiously.

"Someone is willing to have a friendly correspondence with me," Albert put the letter back into his pocket, smiling as he explained.

"Is it delicious?" George was more concerned about the taste of the grilled steak.

"It's alright," Albert replied and continued to devour the food on his plate.

Fred swallowed the roasted potatoes and couldn't help but exclaim, "I didn't expect you could actually cook."

"Why wouldn't I?" Albert replied, "Taking matters into your own hands ensures you have enough to eat."

After all, Hephzibah and Daisy were lawyers and occasionally too busy to take care of them.

"The steak is excellent," Hagrid praised. He had already finished his portion, but the quantity was too little to satisfy his appetite. There were still grilled bread slices on the table, paired with bacon and cheese, along with a small pot of oatmeal porridge.

"If only we had finished lunch before coming to find you," Fred complained as he watched Albert put the last piece of beef into his mouth.

"Yeah, we should go back. It's almost lunchtime," George said, exchanging greetings with Hagrid before urging Fred and Lee Jordan to leave.

"Goodbye, Hagrid," Albert bid farewell as he followed the three to leave.

Halfway back to the castle, George suddenly asked, "By the way, we saw you and Hagrid coming out of the Forbidden Forest together just now."

"What were you doing in the Forbidden Forest?" Lee Jordan continued the inquiry.

"Well... I promised Hagrid not to tell anyone. If you want to know, go and ask Hagrid yourselves," Albert knew they wouldn't ask Hagrid, otherwise, they would have already done so earlier instead of waiting until now to ask him.

"You actually kept it from us," Fred grumbled dissatisfied.

"I had no choice; I promised Hagrid first," Albert shrugged helplessly.

"Fine," the three had no other option, knowing that Albert didn't want to talk about it, they stopped asking further questions.

"Oh, by the way, isn't there a Wizard Card Club gathering in the afternoon?" Lee Jordan was more interested in this, being a loyal supporter of the Wizard Cards.

"Yes, it's in the Great Hall, and there aren't that many people coming anyway," Albert said, "I've already made the Original Cards."

As he spoke, Albert took out a few cards and handed them to the three. Each card had the appearance of the individual they represented. Fred and George were wearing Quidditch uniforms, holding broomsticks, while Lee Jordan was wearing wizard robes, with a wizard hat and a wand. As for Albert himself, he was dressed in wizarding robes, holding a book and a wand.

"When were these pictures taken?" George examined his own card closely and couldn't help but ask.

"What do you think?" Albert smiled and said nothing.

"Will all the future cards be like this? It finally feels somewhat official!" Fred took his card and looked at it, quite satisfied with it.

"What about the other cards?" Lee Jordan asked.

"I haven't made the other cards yet. Do you think I have that much time to spend on this? Besides, I don't have pictures of other people," Albert shrugged, not worrying about any issues of image rights.

As for what image rights were?

There was no such thing in the magical world.

"I'll take this card then!" Lee Jordan was about to put his card into his pocket but was stopped by Albert.

"That won't do. The Original Cards need to stay with me. They will be used to modify the other cards in the future. I'll use a Transfiguration spell on them, and once I modify the Original Card, the other cards will also change accordingly," Albert explained.

"Can it really be done this way?" Fred was amazed.

"Yes, the Daily Prophet uses the same spell. Didn't you notice?" Albert asked in return.

The three shook their heads in unison.

Although they knew that the contents of the Daily Prophet sometimes changed, they had no idea why.

"Well... how much more time will it take?"

"Who knows? At least until I learn the Transfiguration spell. They say it's Newt-level magic, so I estimate it will take another two or three years," Albert carefully considered before adding, "Although it may sound a bit conceited to say this, graduating from Hogwarts with excellent results shouldn't be too difficult for me."

"You not going to Ravenclaw is really their loss," George exclaimed again. "After all, you have such a brain."

"If you could answer more riddles correctly than Katrina, that would be even better."

"You're thinking too much," Albert glanced at Lee Jordan and said with some exasperation, "That's impossible. Do you really think you can win against someone who guesses riddles every day?"

"Then why did you bet on riddles with her?" Fred was even more puzzled.

"I want to know how many different riddles there are for the entrance to Ravenclaw and what their answers are," Albert said without hesitation. "In the future, I might sneak into the Ravenclaw common room."

"I think you'll get kicked out," Fred said.

"I agree," George and Lee Jordan chimed in.

As the four were talking, they arrived at the castle. Just as they were about to pass through the entrance hall, they heard hurried footsteps coming from behind.

Filch was hurrying toward them.

"Filthy creatures! Filthy everywhere, I've had enough!" Filch pointed at the mud footprints on the floor, shouting angrily. His eyes bulged, and his face trembled, looking strange and frightening. "I've had enough... an example must be made... all four of you, come with me!"

"Ahem, calm down, Mr. Filch," Albert pulled out his wand, waved it gently at the mud footprints and his boots, making the footprints on the floor disappear, and the mud stains on his boots vanished.

Fred, George, and Lee Jordan looked at each other and also used Scourgify to clean their boots.

Unfortunately, they found that they couldn't completely clean the stains off.

"How did you do that?" George couldn't help but ask.

"Vanishing Charm," Albert waved his wand and completed the cleaning for them. Then, looking at the dumbfounded Filch, he said, "Can we go now?"

Before Filch could answer, the four of them walked through the entrance hall and into the Great Hall, leaving Filch and other students who were preparing to watch the play in a daze. By the time Filch snapped out of it, Albert and his friends were already far away.

Filch's whole body trembled, and there were several other students around him. Unfortunately, they didn't know the term "collateral damage," so two unfortunate Hufflepuff students became the targets of Filch's wrath.

They wanted to do what Albert did, but they didn't know how to use the Vanishing Charm.
