"You said... a trick?" Albert intentionally stretched his voice, pretending to be pondering how to answer the question.

After a moment, he spoke, "The trick is... to bring the same determination you have during final exams and practice spells diligently."

Originally, Albert wanted to say it was cheating, but after careful consideration, he gave up on that idea. No one would probably understand what "cheating" meant.

At this moment, the expressions on everyone's faces froze. They thought they would hear something useful, but Albert was just teasing them again.

Before they could voice their thoughts, Albert continued, "Alright, actually, this is a kind of magic variation, somewhat like... hmm, Leg-Locker Curse and Full Body-Bind Curse. Of course, this magic is more challenging to master than the Lumos spell."

"So, you weren't shaking your wand just now?" Shanna finally understood what was going on.

It was just that, casting a spell while the tip of the wand was glowing gave people the illusion that the light ball was shaken off from the glowing wand.

"Of course not." Albert looked speechless, not expecting that they would think that. Well, he had to admit that it did look like he was randomly shaking the wand.

The curiosity of everyone didn't last long. They might be interested in the spells Albert was practicing, but not many would want to learn. For most students, in addition to doing their homework, they had to practice the spells from class, which occupied a lot of their free time and attention. They simply didn't have the spare time or effort to practice new, more complex spells.

Especially spells they couldn't understand and required a lot of time to learn.

Shanna was undoubtedly the most efficient student in her year, at least when it came to doing homework, which was probably related to her Muggle education in the past.

After finishing her homework, Shanna started using pieces of paper to practice the Duplication Charm.

It was a spell she learned from Albert, and while it wasn't too difficult to learn, it still required a considerable amount of time to practice in order to master it.

Unlike Shanna, Albert's progress was very fast. The light ball he produced was getting bigger, and it didn't immediately extinguish. Moreover, he could even make it fly forward for a distance.

This visible rate of progress was indeed shocking, and they all realized that Albert would likely master this magic in no time.

Shanna looked up, staring at the floating light ball above her head, her face full of disbelief. "Is it that easy to succeed?"

From the time Albert started practicing until now, it had only been less than half an hour!

"There's no need to be surprised; this is normal." Fred consoled offhandedly, "Albert must have practiced secretly; you just didn't know."

Albert glanced at the skill panel; the skill was only at 65 experience points and hadn't reached level one yet, but the gained experience was already remarkable.

"Looks like you forgot about the gathering time." Someone interrupted their thoughts.

Katarina appeared behind Albert at some point, also looking up at the disappearing light ball above her head, with a thoughtful expression on her face.

"I never thought you'd come to remind me." Albert put down his wand, took out his pocket watch, opened the lid, and checked the time. "There are still twenty minutes."

"Last time, you took me to Classroom 21, so this time, I'll take you to Classroom 17," Katarina turned around and said to Albert, her back facing him, "It evens things out."

The two were talking about the Magic Club, and they both received invitations.

In fact, on the day after Katarina said that Albert wasn't invited, he received an invitation from Professor Flitwick. Similar to last year's invitation to Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club, the task panel directly completed a task related to the Magic Club and rewarded him with 2000 experience points.

After completing the task, Albert directly raised his theoretical magic skill to level two. At least when attending the club, he wouldn't have to worry about not understanding what Professor Flitwick was saying. Moreover, the 2000 experience points reward from the task was not used up entirely; there was still one-third left.

George looked up at the two figures walking away and muttered softly, "When did their relationship become so good?"

"Geniuses tend to be friends with other geniuses," Shanna said, rolling her eyes.

"What does that make the rest of us, then?" Fred disagreed. Their relationships were all good, especially after Albert risked going into the Forbidden Forest to find them a few months ago.

If Albert didn't consider them friends, how could he have taken such a big risk?

"Roommates," Shanna said without hesitation.

"No, no," George didn't pay much attention to this remark, shaking his index finger playfully, "We're geniuses too, you know!"

"What kind of geniuses?" Lee Jordan couldn't help but jest, "Geniuses in causing trouble?"

"I think Katarina has it tough," Fred remarked.

"Tough?"

"She seems to enjoy competing with Albert, which isn't a good choice," Fred took out a deck of cards from his pocket and waved them in front of Shanna, "Want to play a game?"

Shanna didn't even look up and asked, "Aren't you supposed to be doing your homework?"

"Forget it, pretend I didn't say anything."

Seeing Fred concede, George and Lee Jordan couldn't help but laugh.

In fact, they admired Albert's talent too, but as his friends and roommates, the three of them were well aware of Albert's situation. Perhaps he was indeed a genius, but in secret places, he put in unimaginable effort.

To master those spells, Albert also needed to spend a considerable amount of time researching and practicing.

Especially when it came to writing to his "pen pals," the letters he sent were thick and becoming thicker each time, almost anti-wizard.

The three had seen the contents before, and the feeling of being able to understand each word but not the overall meaning was awful.

Those things were much harder than the homework they did.

Albert managed to write several letters a week, and he also received the same number of replies, which was terrifying in their eyes.

However, despite all of this, that guy still seemed more leisurely than them.

Katarina was a genius, but in the eyes of the three, she was just that. That was why Fred said competing with Albert was tough for her.

Sometimes, being a genius wasn't terrifying; what was terrifying was when your opponent was a genius and worked even harder than you.

Because they had long been left so far behind that they couldn't even see Albert's shadow, they didn't feel any jealousy. They were all aware that they were no longer on the same level as Albert in certain aspects.
