Would Nia also have similar pressure?

Albert had never seriously considered such a question before.

In the past, even if people around him considered Albert a genius, he had never truly believed that he was a genius. It's important to have self-awareness.

However, after seeing Katrina's situation, he started to worry about Nia's situation. If he were in her shoes, growing up under the shadow of someone else's genius, he would probably feel frustrated as well.

The next day, Albert put this matter aside. Shela had returned and brought back the ingredients needed for the developing potion.

Before fully dedicating himself to brewing the potion, Albert habitually recorded this task in his little notebook, so he wouldn't forget it when he got busy.

He had gathered all the ingredients for the developing potion, but the issue of brewing the potion remained. There were two places suitable for brewing potions: the abandoned classrooms or the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor of the castle.

Undoubtedly, the latter was the best choice. No one would disturb him while brewing the potion.

On the weekend, early in the morning, Albert had already gotten up and silently arrived at the entrance of the Room of Requirement with the newly purchased ingredients and a crucible.

"I need a room for brewing potions. I need a room for brewing potions. I need a room for brewing potions."

After hesitating at the entrance, the door to the Room of Requirement opened. The interior resembled the potion classrooms they often used.

There was a cabinet that seemed to be used for storing potions next to the wall.

Albert placed his belongings on the table and walked quickly to the cabinet. Upon opening it, he found that it was empty, with nothing inside.

However, there were quite a few books about potions on the wooden bookshelf against the wall.

Albert ran his hand over the thick spines of the books, then returned to the table and opened "Simplified Potions," flipping to the section on developing potions. He read through it carefully again before starting to brew.

The difficulty of the developing potion wasn't high; otherwise, it wouldn't be classified as a simple potion.

Although the developing potion was considered a simple potion, it still took Albert a considerable amount of time to brew. Just handling the ingredients alone took half an hour.

Albert carefully followed each step of the process for handling the ingredients. The result wasn't too bad—the developing potion was successful, although not as clear as described in the book.

Albert scooped up a spoonful of the developing potion and poured it into a test tube. He gently shook it a few times to observe if the liquid produced any changes.

"It's not completely clear, but it barely passes." Albert labeled the test tube and put it into his potion box. Then he examined his skill panel and noticed some changes—it now included the developing potion.

"I wonder if it will work?" Albert muttered to himself as he took out a photo from his pocket. He dropped the developing potion onto the photo and used a small brush to spread the liquid evenly. Then he raised his wand and incanted, "Reveal and animate."

"No effect?" Albert looked at the photo doubtfully, raising his eyebrows slightly. But soon, he realized he had succeeded. As the developing potion dried up, the figures in the photo began to move.

Seeing the people in the photo laughing and playing, Albert knew he had succeeded. He had never felt so happy before.

After Albert's success, he continued to create two more magical photos before nodding in satisfaction. Then he glanced at his task panel.

The task "Moving Magical Photos" showed as completed.

In the completed tasks section, there were still other tasks that had not been claimed, such as the tasks he completed when he first enrolled.

Wizarding heritage was a good thing.

Unfortunately, skill points were quite frustrating. If Albert could have raised his Alchemy skill to level four or five, his own magical power would likely have become stronger.

Albert chose to immediately claim the reward for "Moving Magical Photos" and then... that was it. Completing the task didn't really give him any special feeling.

If he had to say something, it would be excitement.

Albert opened his skill panel and started looking for the newly learned Alchemy skill.

Speaking of which, he had quite a number of skills now, all densely packed together. It took him a while to find the Alchemy skill.

Albert immediately used an experience pool to raise his Alchemy skill to level 1. Then, he sat in an armchair and carefully savored the knowledge that came with the skill upgrade.

However, what puzzled Albert was that his understanding of Alchemy was not much different from the knowledge he gained from books.

But... Albert hesitated for a moment and then gritted his teeth and raised Alchemy to level 2.

Going from level 1 to level 2 required 2,000 experience points.

For Albert, who had tens of thousands of experience points, this amount still made him feel a bit distressed.

"I hope it's worth it," Albert muttered quietly.

After raising Alchemy to level 2, Albert realized a serious problem.

His understanding of Alchemy theory was lacking!

That feeling was really unpleasant, like knowing how to create alchemical items but not having the blueprints.

However, Albert did suspect the issue lay with the creation of his protective wristband.

To some extent, creating a powerful alchemical item usually required enchanting the object with a considerably advanced form of magic.

The Philosopher's Stone was the best example of this.

When you use a rather profound magic to create a magical item, its durability and protective effect become stronger.

Alchemy items had similar issues. If used ordinarily, the consumption of magical power would be swift, and that was likely why his wooden wristband lost its magic so quickly. It meant that it had reached its limit.

This was particularly evident with items that had protective magic.

The best solution was to let it catch its breath and replenish the magical power on the item, just like the cooldown time for using magical items in games.

Most defensive magical items were of the consumable type. After the magic power on them gradually depleted, they would become ordinary items.

Albert took out his notebook and recorded his observations. He planned to find time to improve the protective wristband.

"But now, I'm falling behind in Alchemy theory," Albert murmured. "It would be great if I could connect with Nicol Méliès. Nicol Méliès could definitely help me fill in this knowledge gap."

As for the magic lamp idea, Albert had some inspiration, but he only hastily recorded it without further contemplation. Concentrating intensely during the preparation of the developing potion had tired Albert.

Whether these ideas would be overturned in the future, Albert didn't mind. His knowledge was still gradually increasing, and improvements were slowly being made. Just like software, there would be version 1.0, 1.1, and even later versions like 10.1.

After tidying up the remnants from making the developing potion, Albert arrived at the exit and took out his enchanted map from his pocket. He pointed his wand at the parchment and recited, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

Once he confirmed that no one was near the entrance to the Room of Requirement, Albert wiped away the traces on the map. With the crucible and potion box in hand, he quickly left the Room of Requirement and returned to the Gryffindor common room.
