They made love into the night, slowly and gently, enjoying every second of it to the fullest.

It was hard to explain, but tonight, the sex felt so much more fulfilling for both Mars and Emmelyn.

In every touch, caress, thrust, there was no obligation to procreate, only love and more love.

Also, the fact that they had bound themselves to each other willingly, to be each other's better half, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, through ups and downs...

Mars knew that he would love her and devote his life to her, and make her and their children happy, even before they got married.

However, there was something about spoken vows that made things different. At least for him. When he uttered his vow, he meant every word. 

Having those people witness their declaration of love made things feel so special and solemn.
