Bab 117: Suicide

It was the first time I had ever been so close to death. My mother was dead. I was not allowed to attend her funeral. Ian had ordered my mother's body to be returned to her pack for burial. I had begged him to let me go back with her. He had refused without mercy and locked me in my room. I had not even had a chance to say goodbye to my mother.

I hated Lydia. She was the one who killed my mother. Lola told me that Lydia was still the Queen and wasn't punished. On the other hand, I was stripped of my title as Queen.

"I think the King did this to protect you!" Lola brushed my hair with a wooden comb and whispered, "The nobles led by Vermeers asked the King to execute you immediately, but the King refused their request. He wants you alive!"

"I don't care about the title of a queen!" My face was thin and pale in the mirror. I looked at myself and said, "I hope he would punish the murderer!"
