Bab 156: Set On Fire

Outside the cave was an open field on which a high platform had been built with firewood. In the middle of the platform were two pieces of wood. Black Wolf Baker was tied to one of the logs. His head was lowered, and his chest was covered in dried blood.

A pile of firewood had been lit in front of the high platform. The flames flickered in the night wind like the slender shadows of moths dancing in the fire. Ruby pushed me to the ground. She walked to the high platform filled with firewood and gave Black Wolf Baker a hard slap.

He immediately woke up and glared at Ruby with anger in his eyes. He struggled to break free from the restraints, but because the wolf poison in his body had not completely disappeared, everything he did was in vain.

"I will let you taste pain!" Ruby spat on Black Wolf Baker's face and jumped off the platform.

At this moment, a white circle of light appeared in the space in front of me. It was a magic portal!
