Bab 21: Confusion

"You can trust me, babe!" Katheran held my hand gently, and she looked at me with loving eyes. "Tell me about your confusion, and maybe I can help you!"

I lowered my gaze a little to think, and finally, I summoned up the courage to ask Katheran. "When I was in prison, someone tried to poison me. When Ian found out about this, he immediately sent people to investigate it. I was next to him. This matter was related to the Black Wolf's servant. What is the Black Wolf? Who is the Black Wolf's servant? Why do they want to harm me?"

I voiced out my doubts in one breath. However, Katheran was stunned for a moment. She seemed shocked. I saw her red nails digging into the velvet tablecloth. Her bright purple eyes were now glazed over. I could feel her anger.

After a while, she said to me in a normal voice, "So you're confused that Ian is hiding something from you about the Black Wolf, and you're also doubtful about your relationship. Is that right?"
