Kairav, ever a light sleeper, opened his eyes on the first knock. Slowly pulling back his blanket, he climbed out of bed, leaving his two friends undisturbed and still lost in their dreams.

Rubbing his heavy eyes, he trudged toward the door and opened it slightly. "Who's…?" he mumbled. His brow furrowed instantly at the sight of the village boy standing before him. "Adit? What are you doing here?"
