Kairav nodded sharply, as if they shared the same thoughts and plan without needing words. The nameless young man dropped into a half-kneel, locking his sharp gaze onto the Ahool beast looming far ahead.

Kairav took a few steps back, positioning himself several feet behind the nameless young man, ready to strike at just the right moment. Until...

"Now!" the nameless young man shouted the instant the black magic barrier shattered.

Kairav dashed forward, using the young man's back as a solid stepping stone, launching himself high into the air toward the Gong Ageng mallet above. Just as the beastly Ahool surged toward them, its body moving like a shadow, Kairav reached the mallet and swung with all his might.

Boomm!!!

The deafening echo of the gong reverberated through the chamber, and Kairav landed on the root bridge just as a piercing shriek tore from the monster's throat.
