Bab 276: Baba

Madame Maven welcomed Zyair back as he arrived home late. Skyla had retired to bed as she had office the next day and Madame Maven had instructed her to begin resting earlier. It was essential for the healthy growth of the baby. 

"Sir, can I get you something?" Madame Maven respectfully asked. 

The older woman was beyond elated when Skyla called and informed her earlier that she was pregnant and wished for her to come live with them. This has been her home for more than half of her life and Skyla was all she had left of Mr and Mrs Adams. She had no family and they had been the ones to give her shelter and accept her. 

"Please! Call me Zyair. And no, I already ate. You can retire for the night," he answered with an equal amount of respect. 

He remembered her from the park, she had been with Skyla that day during their childhood. She had been extremely vigilant and possessive of her young miss and this made him respect this woman even more.
