Bab 875: She Was A Guest

He Xiyan froze and the hand that held her teacup shook. She almost spilled her tea onto the carpet.

She bit her lip and she was finally unable to hold her smile. The atmosphere became extremely awkward.

"Aunty, I…" He Xiyan didn't know where to begin.

Yang Yun patted He Xiyan's shoulder and said with a smile, "It is alright. We have several rooms in the house, so please feel free to pick one.

He Xiyan didn't know how to respond to that.

She sat awkwardly and she looked extremely ill at ease. The corners of her lips turned upward but she could not bring herself to smile.

After a while, she finally nodded and thanked Yang Yun awkwardly. 

She grew even more aware of the fact that she was merely a guest in this house. Aunty Qin treated her like a guest and served her snacks and tea and Jiahang's mother was giving her the same treatment.
