Sophia's counted how many days were left before the weekend as she made her way to her locker. Those two days of not being haunted and taunted were all she anticipated every week, that and Alex's response to giving her a job.

Heaven knows she desperately needed that job as soon as possible. It was nice having a good place like Alex's to lay their heads, but they needed a place of their own, and to achieve that, she needed to support Vanessa financially.

Sophia expected a few routinely snide remarks and jibes as she walked down the hallway, but she was surprised when nothing came. She briefly paused and looked over her shoulders, but strangely no one was looking at her, neither had they registered her presence.
