The drive back home was comfortably silent and peaceful unlike the way it had been that morning when they left the house.
Although Vanessa's head was filled with different thoughts, especially thoughts on how to improve on her relationship with Sophia, and how to go about getting another job and receiving an approval from Alex, she wasn't upset or mad at Alex.
Alex turned to her when she sighed for the fifth time since he started driving, "Want to share what is bothering you?" He asked with concern and she shook her head as she looked at him.
"No."
"Is there ever a time when you're not thinking or worrying about something?" He asked, and she looked at him with a slight frown.
"Is that even possible? Maybe it's one of those things I can only know when I become as wealthy as you. I'm sure if I have half the money you have I won't have to worry about anything," Vanessa said, and the corners of his lips twitched with amusement.
