Silence had never been more awkward than it was that very moment where they all sat in the car, each wrapped in their own share of mind-boggling thoughts.

Sophia's thoughts were so loud in her head she failed to recognize the awkwardness between Vanessa and Alex.

Alex' inquiry of Vanessa's relationship status had once again stirred up a myriad of questions about Vanessa's pregnancy.

She was pregnant, and there was no mistake about that. Every of her reaction these past weeks had repeatedly proven that point, and not to mention the test strip and prenatal care drugs she had once again seen in her bag this morning.

While Vanessa had made a quick step into the bathroom, she had peeped into her bag after having done the dishes with Alex. His question had somehow made her wonder if she had imagined wrong, but the drugs were there to confirm her suspicion.
