Bab 88: Admiration

Alex experienced different types of emotions as he watched various emotions flicker through Vanessa's eyes as spoke about her dad.

She talked about her father's love for her mother, how wonderful he had been when she was alive, and how he had fallen apart after her death.

Some times her tone was soft, and nostalgic and she had a sad smile on her face, and other times tears gathered in her eyes and she sounded bitter.

Watching her, he didn't have a doubt in his mind that she loved her father. He may never win the father of the year award, and he may have made her life more difficult that it should have been, but she loved him nonetheless.

Vanessa didn't realize how much she had revealed about her father and herself until Alex chuckled when she talked about how she used t go around different gambling halls in search of him while pretending to be a guy, and how her father used to run off immediately he saw her coming.
