Sophia wasn't really sure it was wise coming over to Tyler's place. She had agreed to honor his invitation after much insistence from him, but standing before the black ornate gate of his house, she couldn't help but rethink her decision.
Flashes of Tyler's father's austere face blared through her mind as she stood rooted by the gate.
The cold look in his eyes, the hostility he exuded, and the violent trace in him made her feel anxious and she really didn't think it was wise to go in.
Maybe she should call Tyler and reschedule their meeting. They could meet in school or at her place, but she wasn't sure she wanted to go in there.
Sophia whipped out her phone and just as she tried to dial his number, she heard someone behind her.
"Ms. Sophia?"
Sophia turned around and was taken aback to see the lady who she recognized as Tyler's housekeeper, Rose.
"Good afternoon." Sophia greeted with a nervous smile.
