Bab 90: Why isn't she here?

Nestled amidst a dense forest of towering trees, Ethan and his companions beheld the majestic castle of the king, its imposing presence merely a stone's throw away from their concealed vantage point.

"Are you seriously considering entering alone?" Anna inquired, her voice laced with concern as she knelt beside Ethan. His unwavering gaze remained fixed upon the formidable fortress that lay ahead.

"Well, not entirely alone," Ethan replied, his words muffled by the hood of his cloak as he tightened its grip around his head. 

"Lilith will accompany me. If we were to enter as a group, the risk of detection would be greatly heightened," he explained, his voice tinged with calculated determination.

"Just stay here, it shouldn't take long." He assured them with a faint smile. "Lilith, let's go," he whispered, his words carrying a silent command.
