Bab 72: Getting my first witch.

Anna sat on the hard, cold floor, her chest heaving with exertion. Beads of sweat dotted her forehead, evidence of the physical strain she had endured. 

Her eyes, wide with a mixture of fatigue and bewilderment, looked up at Lilivil, who stood tall and triumphant before Ethan, a self-satisfied smile stretching across her face.

Seeking affirmation, Lilivil turned her gaze towards Ethan, her posture radiating confidence. "So? I performed admirably, didn't I?" she asked, eagerly awaiting his response.

Ethan, however, appeared preoccupied. His attention drifted from the scene unfolding before him, towards the window. He instinctively glanced upward, searching for a glimpse of Valerie's watchful gaze, but to his astonishment, she was nowhere to be found.

Caught off guard by the sudden turn of events, Ethan's thoughts were interrupted by Anna's confused and vulnerable voice.
