Bab 77: Rescue Mission_2

Laura's heart raced at the thought that they would finally be free, but she was also scared. It would be dangerous for Joan, what if... She couldn't help but think of the danger they were about to face.

Laura received a reassuring tap on the shoulder from Shayah. "We must hurry; we have no time to waste. Don't worry; I'll see that Joan and you are safely out of here. Be quick! Some of my loyal servants are waiting to help us."

After hearing what Shayah said, she didn't waste any time. Joan was fast asleep when she scooped her up, and the little girl had no idea what was happening.

"This way, come on... we have no time to waste." Laura was led by Shayah and a few loyal servants, who then helped carry Joan to a dimly lighted hallway that led to an unknown location.

They emerged from the back of the palace through the servant's hallway after what felt like a lifetime.
